Release Notes

The main change in this version of MultiTAS Business Manager is compatibility with TASBooks v3 (released December 2011).

Existing Customers

For v3, TAS made alterations to important database tables while changing table indexes. The effect is that MultiTAS v2.2.52 initiates a further Enhancement routine when run for the first time. This is to rebuild a couple of our files affected by TAS database changes.

New Customers

On the '[Login Information]' window, you can select a company by typing the first letter of its name. Then press '[Enter]' to launch the selected company.

During 'Data Enhancement', the "Assign Stock Movements to Central Warehouse" action can fail for various reasons (e.g. invoices found that refer to missing product codes), in which case it will be skipped. If this occurs, you should run MultiTAS, and use menu option 5.2.2 (Assign Stock Movements) to assign your stock movements to the appropriate (CENTRAL) warehouse.

[NB: When assigning stock movements you should again get the same error that occurred during the data upgrade – you should be able to resolve these in TAS e.g. re-create missing product codes, etc., as appropriate]

To alternate between MultiTAS Business Manager Plus and MultiTAS Business Manager Finance, double-click the marble icon at the bottom left of the '[Login Information]' window.

Toolbar

Navigating around MultiTAS is simple using the existing, TAS-like menus - each option is a couple of keystrokes/clicks away. But the new toolbar now enhances this by providing single-click access to the most commonly used options in MultiTAS. And you can customise as required, adding shortcuts to your most used programs so it meets your exact needs.

To add a menu toolbar:

  1. Right-click the toolbar and select the menu-option you want to add.
  2. To remove one or more of the menu items, click the down arrow beside the new options, then select Add or Remove Buttons > followed by the relevant menu option.
  3. To remove an option, select it to clear the tick. Once you've removed all of the required items, click away from the list of menu items.
  4. To reset the selection, and show all menu items for that menu-option, click Reset Toolbar.

To create a new custom toolbar, with individual menu items:

  1. Right-click the toolbar and select Customise.
  2. To build your own toolbar, click New, enter a name for the toolbar and click OK.
  3. To add menu items to your toolbar, click the Commands tab.
  4. In the Categories list, select the menu-option containing the item you want to add, then in the Commands list, click and drag the relevant option to the new toolbar.
  5. Repeat step 4 until all of the options you need are show on the toolbar.
