New OrderBooks features additional aid for SMEs
For cash-strapped SMEs there is an innovative and cost-effective business solution to improve business performance and enable them to work in a much more efficient way.
OrderBooks by Infoplex was launched last October and is suitable for businesses in any sector. A number of additional features have been developed in recent months to further enhance its functionality and suitability as a core business management tool.
OrderBooks merges Microsoft Outlook, CRM and TAS BOOKS into one powerful enterprise-wide information system at a fraction of the cost and complexity associated with large-scale ERP software - giving big business advantages to smaller firms.
New features include:
- Document Processing using Crystal Reports with workflow options to suit your business processes
- Crystal Reports template editor - users can easily customise reporting and document processing
- Supplier information - easily created, even those that are also customers
- Purchase Orders displayed in the Orders folder
- Sales Order Calendar with handy drill-down is part of the Dashboard
- Sales Pipeline Conversion Performance is also there, allowing sales performance tracking
- Product Notes - ability to handle an almost unlimited number (and length) of notes per product
- Search Tool finds text fast within names, codes and descriptions - even in Lookup forms
- Export directly to Excel from grids - A simple button lets you export the header columns and contents directly to Excel. A handy "Save As" dialogue lets you decide where to save the spreadsheet.
Document Processing enables the easy production of quotes, proformas, delivery notes, invoices and credit notes - simply tick the ones you want to process. These can be sent to email/file or printer, including as a PDF. Select from multiple, fully customisable Crystal Report templates and can preview these on-screen.
The Sales Order Calendar function lets users select a starting date and tell the system how long a period they want to display. Then all outstanding Sales Orders are shown as boxes in a calendar based on the Expected Ship Date of each order. Users can select a box, click it and drill-down to view/edit the Sales Order.
Businesses can now display Sales Pipeline Conversion Performance per salesperson as well as overall in the business. See what the value and profitability are of new Quotes added to your Pipeline, as well as the value of Quotes converted to firm Orders during the period you select - and what has been invoiced. Drill-down on any figure to see a list of what orders make it up.
Lastly, the Search Tool provides a handy utility to search for text within names, codes and descriptions, both on the main database maintenance grids, e.g. maintain products grid, and in Lookup forms, for example customers, suppliers and products. If you know that a part description contains "25mm" but can't remember the product code or name, you can find matching parts from thousands of records almost instantly.
Mark Ramsay, Managing Director, Infoplex said: "Investing in OrderBooks will revolutionise the way that smaller organisations do business - providing an up to date snapshot of business performance at a glance and covering the areas of finance, operations, sales and marketing. As well as providing a rapid and high ROI (Return on Investment) in the short term, its benefits will continue to be felt over years to come."
"These new features have been introduced as a direct result of customer feedback over the last six months and we have a number of others in the pipeline demonstrating our commitment to responding to customer needs."
"I'd encourage anyone who wants to find out more to get in touch with us, as we can offer an online demonstration and advise how OrderBooks can meet the unique requirements of your business."
OrderBooks has a dynamic visual dashboard making it easy to monitor performance at a glance across all the areas of a business, with automatic alerts to prompt immediate action to keep things on track. It links every e-mail to a contact and updates the accounting system instantaneously. Other benefits include one familiar user interface, automated email filing, advanced sales processing, full stock and product control and an ability to migrate data from disparate sources.
